SHADOW (COIN VANISH & PRODUCTION)
My take on some of the coin vanishes and productions.
CLICK BY VALDEMAR GESTUR
Available now at Vanishing Inc.
It's not there, and then it is. Click. So silky smooth and beautiful, this extraordinary new move is as versatile as it is visual. And it's all yours, available ONLY right here, at Vanising Inc. Magic.
"Click" is simple in effect. A pack of cards wrapped with a rubber hand is show fairly. By simply snapping the band against the pack (Click) a selected card appears face up BENEATH THE RUBBER BAND. Watch the trailer...the move happens in less than instant, and it looks…well, perfect.
Taught by Patrick Kun and created by Valdemar Gestur, the move requires only basic card handling ability, though getting the movements down takes some knack. It took us an hour of fiddling before it started to look really good. But once you've got it, you've got it forever, and it makes the perfect finale to any pick-a-card routine or banded card routine.
Available now at Theory11
A face up card is placed between two face down cards. With a slight twitch of the hands, the card visually changes before the spectators eyes. Inflict is as natural as it gets. No funny movements. No weird angles. Everything happens out in the open.
Inflict includes two impromptu color changes that can be done as stand alone effects or used to enhance your current visual color change. Inflict is a great addition to any routine.
VECTOR (IMPROMPTU HAUNTED DECK)
Vector is a visual Haunted Deck effect that is as impromptu as it gets. Staying true to the Haunted Deck style, your spectator selects a card, then actually sees the deck split on its own through sheer force of mental will. In a surprising climax, the spectator's card ejects itself from the pack.
Many Haunted Decks must be performed with gimmicks. Vector can be performed anytime, anywhere with any deck. Borrowed, old or new. No magnets, no threads, no reels, no gaffs, no hook-ups. No nothing. Just your hands and a borrowed deck of cards.
SURGE (IMPROMPTU CARD RISE)
When you look at the video for this sleight, what do you see? We see a card rise that looks, well, perfect. No telltale signs, a slow and eerie rise, and a handling that would suggest (to us) some kind of clever gaff.
We are so pleased to tell you that this rise uses NO GAFFS. It is COMPLETELY impromptu, and can be done with any deck of cards you might buy. It does not alter or destroy the pack in any way, and you can even perform it with many borrowed packs.
What about the angles? The angles are as good as any card rise--nobody can be behind you, but the method allows for spectators near the sides.
And difficulty? This was the clincher for us. As amazing as it looks, it is something you can pick up instantly.
There's no way a card appears that fast without a gimmick. But it does, and there isn't. Impromptu through and through.
A selected signed card is lost back into the deck, only to instantly appear between two visible jokers. Their card then vanishes from between the jokers back into the deck, and finally vanishes from the deck only to appears between the spectators hands.
A casual, clean, easy to learn and use move which can be used to replace classic force. Learn a technique that you'll use all the time, with any deck, and wonder how you ever got by without it.
You'll also learn a bonus effect that you can perform right away using this incredible sleight.
